Waiting is a play about the way in which two women, both disappointed with their lives,  are forced to spend their time together whilst waiting for something better.  Their entire existence lies in the fondness of their past and the anticipation of their future.  But, for some reason, they can not accept the reality of the present.  Their friendship too now, lies solely within their memories and through the people they have met. They are dressed to impress, perhaps falling in love would help them to escape?
Surely someone will save them
… won’t they?

The play explores that in-between moment in our lives. The moment when we have to make a choice.  The moment when we are forced to grow up.  Forced to face reality, forced to re-evaulate our judgements.  Though a series of flash backs to the past, drinking games, celebrity culture, denial, tips on acting and competitivity the girls and their barmaid explore the relationships they have built and the choices they have made, all in one very desperate and empty bar.
